Commercial Interior Designer

We are looking for a full time Interior Designer to join our Southampton based team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking for a long-term role in a new but fast-growing company.The successful person will have a focused approach to providing qualified interior design expertise to suit a range of applications primarily in Commercial Office Design.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carry out initial client site survey to take a detailed brief
• Manage on site or telephone client meetings to further determine interiors requirements and to discuss options
• Able to develop a relationship with the client, understand and deliver against their requirements and desires for the project
• Creating digital and physical presentations, and mood boards
• Produce and present client proposals including 2D drawings and 3D visuals where appropriate
• Working closely with the Projects department
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge on trends, products and events within the industry. Attending design shows to network and gain further product and industry knowledge

Essential Attributes:

• Qualification – Degree or other recognised qualification in either Interior Design or Architecture
• Experience of space planning within office environment
• Experienced in using CAD systems including AutoCad
• Experience in Google SketchUp

• Able to engage with clients
• Great listening skills, able to interpret client information
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and high attention to detail
• Punctual and presentable
• Great team player
• Able to work on own initiative and bring creative ideas to the business

Desirable:

• Experience in 3D Studio Max
• Experience in render programs

Due to the continued expansion of the Broadsword Group we have an exciting opportunity within the business for a permanent, full time Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to work with our current team maintaining and developing our existing systems.

Preferably, the candidate should have industry experience and a formal qualification (NEBOSH or IOSH) or a desire to develop a career with formal training. Salary package is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
